Every transaction on record, added up per account. The Difference column is the important one: if your computed balance doesn't match what the bank actually says, transactions are missing, duplicated or on the wrong account.
| Account | Opening | In | Out | Computed now | Actual balance | Difference |
|---|
Type the balance the bank shows into Actual balance. Leave Opening blank and it is back-solved so the two agree today — then any future difference is a real problem, not a starting-point guess. Enter a true opening balance instead if you have one.
Select an invoice on the left and a bank transaction on the right, then click Match selected payment.

These are income Transactions not yet linked to an invoice. Pick one to match or mark it as non-invoice income.
| Date | Amount £ | Account | Counterparty | Notes | Category |

Select one or more invoices and one payment below, then click Match. You can split one payment across multiple invoices, or apply multiple payments to one invoice (match one at a time — the invoice stays in the list until fully paid). When matched, invoices are marked Paid and the transaction is categorised as Invoice Payment.
These transactions were marked as non-invoice income and hidden from the reconciliation list. Click Restore to move one back.

A card is money you owe. Purchases and fees increase the balance; payments and refunds reduce it. Every entry is recorded as what it actually is, so a payment can never be mistaken for income.
Reads the file and shows you what it found — purchases, payments, refunds — before anything is saved. Nothing is written until you press Import.
Enter the closing balance printed on the statement. If it doesn't agree with the app, something is missing or duplicated — better to find it now than at year end.
Each payment to the card should have a matching line leaving your current account. Pick one on each side and match them — both are then treated as one movement of your own money, never as profit.
Newest first, with the running balance owed after each entry.
Track small cash expenses and keep your float balanced.
